NSV have recently dispatched a bespoke analyser shelter, ATEX 3G HVAC unit and NFPA pressurisation fan.
The system also included a bespoke chemical filter unit, control and shut off dampers, and associated ductwork. The entire project has been shipped to the Netherlands before installation at the final site in Algeria.
The analyser shelter is manufactured from 304 stainless steel; the skid base is painted steel and fully compliant to client specification, the shelter is served by a dedicated 3G ATEX HVAC unit for Krohne Oil & Gas. This enables the sensitive metering equipment to be kept in optimum operating range. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel the system is suitable for the harshest of environments and the duty/standby arrangement ensures constant pressurisation, conditioning and protection. The full system is designed to operate at the high ambient of 55˚C and underwent full ambient Factory Acceptance Testing in our dedicated test bay.
The analyser shelter specification called for the requirement of NFPA regulations; this means rather then an airlock an additional pressurisation fan was required, this ensures that when passing through the access door no ingress of contaminating gases enter the shelter and the equipment internally remains protected and safe by pressurisation.
